How does marking work?
You complete a full paper — online or handwritten. Where stored mark-scheme guidance exists for that paper, Examevo marks against it and shows what earned marks and what was missing. General uploads receive useful feedback without claiming verified scheme marking. See our accuracy page for methodology and limits.
Does improving an answer change my original score?
No. Improve your answer and Try a similar question are learning practice — they do not change your historical paper score. Request a remark is a separate, score-changing process if you believe marking should be reviewed.
What is Try a similar question?
After you understand a lost mark, Examevo can give you a different question testing the same skill — to see whether improvement transfers. It does not change your original paper score and does not mean you have mastered the topic forever.
Will Examevo read my handwriting?
Yes. Photograph each page clearly — working, diagrams, and extended answers included. Faint or cropped scans may need retaking; we guide you during upload.
How accurate is marking?
Each subject engine follows board mark scheme conventions where guidance exists. Human examiners still win on the most nuanced scripts. See our accuracy page for internal QA benchmarks and honest limits — we do not claim independent examiner validation unless published there.
How is Examevo different from quiz-style revision apps?
Quiz apps test recall one question at a time. Examevo marks full exam papers — timing, extended responses, command words, and mark-scheme requirements — then builds an improvement loop: understand lost marks, improve your answer, try a related question, and track patterns over time.
